I'm using puppy 3.00, you didn't say which version you were using. The fact having the rt2570 loaded caused the Network Wizard to lock my system is definitely something that needs further work. Boot without the device connected then connect it and modprobe rt73 without having to worry about unloading rt2570.Įven ensuring that i was using the correct driver the Network Wizard doesn't work. The only other thing I can suggest is making sure that you power your system right off. I don't know why you are not seeing this interface, there are other regular forum members that know more about this issue so hang in there more help should arrive. Once I unloaded rt2570 and modprobed rt73 instead iwconfig shows an interface called wlan0. Just for laughs I tried configuring using rt2570 it locked my system and all calls I made to kill the "ifconfig rausb0 up" were ignored. The fact that these codes apply to devices needing rt2570 and rt73 is well documented as you say. I have a similar (identical) usb wireless stick that I haven't used recently with puppy. PS This is a Repeat of Post in Upper Level of the Forum, Please Delete other coz I guess this is the Correct Place, Thanx!
